Crab Market
Definition:
That most excruciating of market conditions that often occurs after a bull run and crash. It gives all the signs of returning to bull… only to stop after a 5% increase, flatline, then drop 5%, then rinse and repeat. As hopium kicks in and sentiment improves, it’s tempting to go all in again… only to be crushed in the pesky pincers of the unforgiving crab market. These periods can last for what seems like decades and can certainly clean out even the most savvy trader.
