Bearwhale
Definition:
An old-school term from a 2014 story when a Bitcoin whale placed a bearish limit order well below the price at the time. The market tanked, the order was filled, however the Bitcoin price immediately rebounded and increased. The unknown seller was named “Bearwhale” and the Bitcoin community celebrated “slaying the Bearwhale” by creating heroic mythical stories and images.
