Bored Ape Yacht Club – the one NFT that everybody wished they had bought. One of the earlier 2021 10k PFP projects, billed as the “Cryptopunks for people that could not afford cryptopunks” that became wildly successful. Created by Yuga Labs, the Apes are famous for their homage to ape and ape in culture as well as a vibrant community, though unfortunately a community that also sometimes stores their million dollar apes on hot wallets and give away their seed phrases… resulting in huge losses.
